Description
BearPi-Pico H3863 is a compact Pico-format development board built around HiSilicon WS63 (Hi3863), a highly integrated 2.4 GHz SoC that combines Wi-Fi 6, BLE and NearLink SLE in a single chip. It pairs a 240 MHz RISC-V microcontroller with 606 KB SRAM, 300 KB ROM and 4 MB of in-package Flash, and exposes a flexible set of digital interfaces. An on-board USB-to-UART bridge means a single USB-C cable covers power, flashing and serial debugging.
Key features
- Three radios on one chip: Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 b/g/n/ax), Bluetooth 5.2 and NearLink SLE 1.0 — build gateway, HID, audio or sensor nodes without stacking modules
- RISC-V 32-bit CPU up to 240 MHz with floating-point support and SWD debugging; 606 KB SRAM, 300 KB ROM, 4 MB Flash, execute-in-place supported
- Wi-Fi 6: 20 MHz bandwidth, up to 114.7 Mbps PHY rate, higher TX power and longer reach than previous generations
- Bluetooth: 1 MHz / 2 MHz bandwidth, BLE 4.0 through 5.2, BLE Mesh and BLE gateway, up to 2 Mbps over the air
- NearLink SLE: 1 / 2 / 4 MHz bandwidth, SLE 1.0 with SLE gateway support, up to 12 Mbps over the air
- Hardware security engine: AES, SM2, SM3, SM4 and TRNG
- Tuned on-board PCB antenna plus an IPX connector for an external antenna (antenna resistor needs rework before using IPX)
- On-board USB-to-UART: flash and debug over one USB-C cable, no external programmer required
- Official schematics, SDK, toolchain and step-by-step tutorials are published by BearPi and maintained open source
Interfaces
- 2 × I2C (configurable as master)
- 2 × SPI (master or slave), plus 1 × QSPI
- 3 × UART, up to 4 Mbit/s, two of them 4-wire
- 1 × I2S, 1 lane with 2 channels
- 8 × PWM, 17 × GPIO, 6 × 13-bit ADC — functions are multiplexed across pins
Specifications
- CPU: WS63 (Hi3863) RISC-V 32-bit, up to 240 MHz, FPU, SWD
- Memory: 606 KB SRAM, 300 KB ROM, 4 MB in-package Flash
- Wireless: Wi-Fi 6 2.4 GHz, BLE 5.2, NearLink SLE 1.0
- Power: USB Type-C 5 V input or external 5 V; on-board 5 V to 3.3 V DCDC; MCU and IO at 3.3 V
- Indicators: red power LED, blue user-definable LED
- Controls: reset key; USB-C with bootloader and debug serial
- Antenna: on-board tuned PCB antenna, plus IPX socket for external antenna
- Operating temperature: -40 °C to +85 °C
- Security: AES, SM2, SM3, SM4, TRNG
Important note on NearLink
NearLink SLE communication requires two SLE devices to talk to each other. Buy the Pair Kit (2 PCS) if you want to run SLE throughput or range tests out of the box — one board alone cannot demonstrate a link.
In the box
